Matthew and I met in 7th grade, 2010. I moved from a different town so I had to switch schools. I always liked Matthew and had a little crush on him since then. He would always bully me to “flirt” he says. Pushing my things off my desk, making faces at me, or just straight up being rude. But I loved it. We had that type of relationship for as long as I could remember. I even forced my mom to make him a birthday cake one year to try and impress him. On our graduation we took a few photos together and my mom said “Oh so this is the Matthew you always talk about?” Once we graduated highschool we found ourselves hanging out more and more. We would meet up at the fire department after hours, go to the movies, go out to eat, and even have a ton of sleepovers my parents never knew about. (Thank you Adam and Kyle, sorry mom and dad) but at some point we grew apart and headed separate ways. Matthew moved to Florida and we stopped talking for a bit. February of 2021 we reconnected and started talking again. And never stopped ever since. I have always had a place in my heart for him and knew that there would always be something there. And now here we are. I’m so incredibly grateful how this journey is turning out. It’s so crazy that life just brought us back together again and I’m so blessed to be marrying my best friend.
