Love is Patient & Worth the Wait

Meet-cute: Joń's Story - One morning while I was working in fin-seal, I saw Jocelyn come in for her orientation. I thought I hope she’s not Navajo. Jocelyn's Story – While working at the tables, Jon was placed as the prep person who opened boxes and set them out for the rest of the team. I was placed next to him packing candy in boxes. At first, I tried to spark a conversation by asking if he liked working there, but he was silent. So, I gave up and focused on work. Our first actual conversation was at fin-seal. Jocelyn was placed beside Joń to pack candy on the line for the Amellas brand. Joń was placing the trays on the line while Jocelyn packed the candy. What started their conversation was about current movies that were in theaters. While Joń placed the trays down, he also helped Jocelyn pack the candy properly in rows of 6 because it was her first time working in his area of expertise. That day they found out how close they had been to each other through the years. From going to the same high school at different times, to Joń working in Durango while Jocelyn went to school at Fort Lewis, they were always near each other but never knew. After that day, they began talking more and more during breaks and lunch about each other and one another’s hopes and dreams. Until one day, Jocelyn got Joń’s number from a coworker. From there on, they would meet to hang out and have dinner at Serious Texas BBQ or Ska Brewery. Slowly they began to gain each other’s trust and finally Joń discreetly asked Jocelyn on a date to see a horror movie called “The Nun” #bestdayever. Jocelyn walked up to Joń and told him she was available to see the movie with him and it turned out to be their first date. September 7, 2018, was Jocelyn and Joń’s first date seeing a movie together in theaters. After a few months of getting to know each other, they finally decided to make it official on March 8, 2019.
