We met on the Bumble dating app where Keith’s wit at texting charmed Joanna straight off the bat. After some incredible text conversations, we met for dinner at Pappasito’s Cantina restaurant in Fort Worth. Keith was captivated by her intelligence and the ease of their rapport. Joanna thought that he was one of the funniest and most knowledgeable people she’s ever met. We ate and talked and laughed until the restaurant closed and they kicked us out. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

On May 25th, 2023, we visited Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon. Powell’s is the world’s largest independent bookstore with over 1 million books for sale. Their location takes up an entire city block. Unbeknownst to Joanna, Keith had a master plan. He had located a book titled “Will You Marry Me?” and presented it to her while she was shopping in the quilting section of the store. As the realization dawned on her, he dropped to one knee and asked for Joanna’s hand for life. She accepted and the rest is history.
