Taylor and Joanna met at Virginia Wesleyan. Joanna basically conned her into being her friend and driving her around Virginia Beach. They joined their sorority Tri Sigma together and since then Taylor has been forever stuck with her. Fun Fact, they have two matching tattoos together. Taylor and Joanna lived together for 3ish years and have a cat named Victor together.

Maryam and Joanna also met at Virginia Wesleyan when Joanna joined Tri Sigma. The designated bad influence, Maryam was there for Joanna her whole college career. Being in the same major, Maryam spent many hours dragging Joanna to volunteer at local nursing homes, where Joanna learned her love for geriatric care. At the end of the day, Maryam is the personal DJ and hype man for everyone!
Dylyn Kotteles

While Dylyn and Joanna both attended Virginia Wesleyan, they didn't become close until they began working together. Working in Human Resources, Dylyn since the beginning has been someone Joanna could easily vent to. She's always down to take 1000000 pictures until we get the best one, and help come up with the best insta caption, if they aren't on the beach or a boat together.

Paige and Joanna also met at Virginia Wesleyan and lived in the same freshmen dorms together before also both joining Tri Sigma. Sharing their senior year in the same dorm they shared a lot of food, clothes, and memories. 106 BABY! The more responsible one in the relationship, Paige has got you for any of your jello shot needs, orange pasta, or federal clearances.

Heather was Joanna's freshmen year roommate at Virginia Wesleyan. Starting out their relationship by asking Joanna if she was afraid of needles (she is), Joanna has always been there to keep her sugar in check just as much as Heather has been their to keep Joanna in check. Heather is the first to make Joanna an Auntie to her amazing daughter, Madilynn.

Sayer is one of Joanna's longest friends, as they met in elementary school at Burnet Hill. Sayer will say that Joanna made fun of her lisp but that will never be proven! However it began, their friendship has reached 20 years at this point so its safe to say she's stuck with her!

Hayden and Will first met in middle school and became best buds very quickly. After many years of fun adventures and getting into trouble Hayden moved away to join the Coast Guard and Will ventured on to perfecting his trade in welding/metal working. Will has been a brother and best friend no matter the miles or work load each of our lives presented.

Christian and Hayden first met serving together in the USCGC Forward. From late night ocean front beach bike expeditions, to nunchuck self defense lessons, and being goons on the small boat glike showed Hayden how to make the most of what life gives. He currently resides in Hawaii with his sweet heart Danielle and is the great example of a life long friend.

ED and Hayden first met when Jo asked him to come and assess whether this new guy his sister was dating was good enough for his sister. The fact that I'm not six feet under right now means he didn't hate me haha. Ed has his bachelor's in mechanical engineering. He is very good at building things with his own two hands, and always looks out for his family and friends. Hayden could not have asked for a better brother in-law and friend.

Hayden met Becca through her wife Taylor. While Jo and Tay would go party Becca and Hayden would finally be able to talk about and enjoy the finer things in life like Star Wars and LOTR. She has always been an example of how someone should treat those they love and is always looking for ways to surprise her wife with adventures and makes sure to include myself and Jo. Happy to Consider her a part of my family.

Carter, well Carter is Hayden's brother, he spent his childhood getting beat by Hayden at video games. Now it's Hayden's butt that gets beat haha! Carter is a stalwart and has a good head on his shoulders. Growing up they were always inseparable and getting into trouble whenever possible. Hayden is blessed to have been given such an amazing brother.

Kordell and hayden met serving at coast gaurd sector Long Island sound. Both like to to find ways to make fun out of hard situations at work. Kordell is one of the most honest and wholesome friends a man could ask for. If you need a good hunting buddy, drinking buddy or nickname creator then he’s your guy.

Cohen has many roles in our life. Roommate, dog sitter, friend, third wheel. Devin (or Cohen to us) and Hayden met in Connecticut through the Coast Guard. Hayden and Joanna immediately adopted him. They couldn't ask a better person to walk their girls down the aisle. P.S. Ask about his shark costume.
