We met in 2011 when we both started working at a new restaurant in South Florida, both of us still in our mid-20s. We quickly found ourselves in our own little bubble, our relationship hidden from co-workers, not wanting the attention that it would bring. Not able to define the actual nature of our relationship to ourselves, we found ourselves separating after nine months of being together. One of us moved to North Florida, while the other struck out west to Colorado. It would take four years before we would see each other again and another year after that before we realized that the feelings that we hadn't been able to articulate were still very much there and no longer willing to be overlooked. So, Joanna packed up her life in Florida and made the move out to Colorado to see if it was truly meant to be. Now, over four years later, a move to the Nashville area, we’re ready for our happily ever after.
