The two briefly met through the New Leaders Council back in 2013. Then, one year later in 2014, the stars aligned and they reconnected at the Supersonico Music Festival in Los Angeles. They didn't speak a ton, but just vibed to Calle 13, standing and dancing next to each other for hours. A year later in 2015, Juan, while working at a tech company, invited Kim to lunch under the excuse of trying to sell her software since she worked at the LA Mayor's Office. He just wanted to see her. Skip a year to 2016. Kim is thriving at the LA Mayor's Office and Juan is interviewing there. He reached out for advice and she awesomely invited him to work events to meet people and shared perspective. That same year they became coworkers, eventually friends, and in 2017 officially a couple. Eventually, they moved in together, and a year later got married and purchased their first home together. And now, they look forward to celebrating their wedding ceremony with you!
