Jimmy and Thao met through mutual friends at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, MS on New Year's Eve. They didn't hit it off at first (Jimmy thought Thao was a snob and Thao thought Jimmy was pretentious), but fate would bring them back together about a month later at a wedding in Galveston, TX. After the wedding, Thao decided to take a solo midnight stroll to the beach. Little did she know, Jimmy followed her "to protect her from the bums and crackheads." The rest, as they say, is history.

Jimmy knows that the way to Thao's heart is through food, so he proposed over an intimate Popeyes dinner in their home in New Orleans, LA. Technically, he never asked and just presented her the box. Technically, she never said "yes" and said "thanks" instead. It was perfect.
