It all started on the internet, like most things these days. An app where you swipe endlessly with little meaningful interactions. I'll give you a hint for the name of that app, it starts with "t" and ends with "inder". We had several things in common, but Jillian believes it was a picture of her on her 30th birthday, front and center on Monday Night Raw drinking a beer. For Ky, it was hook, line, and sinker. After some chatting back and forth, they decided to meet in person. Jillian was living in Miami at the time so they decided to meet up at a bar called "Gramps". On this specific night, there was a drag show. Jillian and Ky danced and sang along throughout the night and ended up staying until closing time. And thus the story of "happily ever after" begins...

OH BOY! Grab some popcorn, maybe a nicely cushioned chair because this is a long one, ladies and gents! Jillian was aware Ky was going to propose. They had gone ring shopping, spoke about weddings and proposals, and if you know Jillian (she's a planner), she even had a specific dress she wanted to wear. We will refer to the dress as "the dress" for the remainder of this story. There had been date after date, dinner after dinner, that Jillian thought Ky was going to pop the question, but alas, no ring. So many dates, that Jillian had finally stopped telling her girlfriends "I think tonight's the night!" So when Ky planned a nice date for the two of them and then a night in with their friends Greg (best man) and Rachael (bridesmaid), Jillian really didn't think much of it. While getting ready, Jillian had laid some dresses out on the bed, with "the dress" included to see if Ky would indicate for her to wear it... no dice. Finally, Ky told her to "wear the damn thing if you like it so much!" So she did. At dinner, Ky was sweating bullets. Jillian chalked it up to the heat. It was August in South Florida during sunset, they were sitting outside AND he was wearing all black. Made sense. Dinner came and went, and again, no ring. They leave and Ky asks Jillian if she wants to drive down A1A to look at the beach before going home. There was a little spark of hope that maybe, just maybe, Ky would get out and propose to her. Again. No ring. At this point, Jillian was pretty frustrated and figured it wasn't going to happen, yet again. They get back to their apartment, Ky asks Jillian if she still loved him and still wanted to have a good time tonight. Jillian said, "Of course." Right then, Ky opened the door to their apartment and there was her mom, Ky's mom, their friends.....The apartment was decorated with flowers and balloons. Ky got down on one knee, and finally asked "Will you marry me?" They partied all night. Jillian still says it was the best day of her life.
