Brett and Jillian met on the Jewish Tinder, also known as J-Swipe. Jillian I was desperate to meet my future Jewish Husband in February 2015. Attending a Private Methodist University did not give me a lot of options for a future husband, so J-Swipe was jokingly downloaded on my phone. I never believed in the whole tinder/online app thing, so this J-Swipe thing was not taken seriously... Until I received a notification that a cute guy from Denver messaged me. Now this got my attention! On a gorgeous Friday morning at the end of February, I decided to message every guy I was matched with on J-Swipe, because why not? My magic words were "Happy Friday! :)" This might be the best move I have ever made, because it led me to Brett. After a fews weeks of chatting and getting to know each other, Brett asked me if he could take me out to dinner. We went to a Chinese Restaurant on Mass Street and had the longest (and best) first date ever. Obviously, we both did something right, because 5 years later we are still going strong! Brett: After a fall semester of fun in 2014, I decided I was ready to settle down. I was single and was ready to meet someone, BUT not necessarily my future wife. Just someone. A woman. I ended up downloading numerous apps, but something about J-Swipe appealed to me. In February of 2015 I was at the KC Car show with a friend when I received a message on J-Swipe. "Happy Friday! :)" Now, I was a shy guy. Talking to women was not my strength. But this message seemed easy enough to respond to, so I replied with the best thing I could think of "Yeah! You too". Jillian and I chatted for a few weeks and I learned that she was obsessed with dogs, was a collegiate athlete, and she preferred vodka as her choice of drink. I did not know it then, but this woman was perfect for me! I ended up getting the nerve to ask her out. We went to Encore for our first date and had an incredible time. I'm glad she gave me a chance!
