With March around the corner, Matthew & I have reevaluated how we should spend our wedding day. We have truly been looking forward to spending a weekend of love and celebration with all of you in Miami this March. However, after careful deliberation, we have made the decision to change our original wedding plans. We will still be married in Miami at a private ceremony attended only by some of our immediate family members.
Matthew and Jillian met as classmates attending St. Thomas Aquinas High School, so the exact date they met is still under review. They went their separate ways for college— Matthew went to play basketball at Washington and Lee and Jillian went to twirl baton at Florida State. After graduation, Jillian moved to New York City on a whim without a job, and Matthew, being the more level-headed one, moved to Richmond, VA to work for an investment bank. They remained friends throughout the years, so it was only natural for them to meet up in Manhattan when Matthew relocated for a private equity job in September 2015. They decided to meet in Washington Square Park that September. Fast forward to December 14, 2019, and Matt got down on one knee in the very same park to ask Jillian to marry him! She, of course, said YES! From Tel Aviv, to Italy, to Iceland, to family vacations and countless weddings, with lots of laughs, pizza, and memories made along the way, we know March 6th, 2021 will be the start to our best adventure yet as Mr. and Mrs. Gaeta! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Miami!!
