Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire: There are several options, including a cocktail dress of any length, pantsuit, or dressy separates. Alternatively, you can opt for a suit (with or without a tie), sports jacket, suit jacket, or a stylish blazer with dress pants. Whatever you choose, make sure you feel comfortable enough to dance the night away! Our ceremony will occur outdoors in October, regardless of weather conditions. We want you to be comfortable, so please dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Also, chairs aren't allowed on the grounds due to park rules, so we suggest wearing comfortable shoes that can handle walking on grass and standing for the duration of the ceremony.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

To make sure you're comfortable, we suggest arriving at 4:45 p.m. According to Public Garden rules, there is no seating allowed at the ceremony location, so you will need to be prepared to stand throughout the brief ceremony. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us. Our ceremony will occur outdoors in October, regardless of weather conditions. We want you to be comfortable, so please dress appropriately for the weather forecast.

Question

Is there a way for me to participate in your wedding if I can't make it to Boston?

Answer

We're excited to celebrate with family and friends on our big day, and we understand that not everyone may be able to make the journey to Boston. We want to ensure that everyone feels included and connected, so we're offering a live stream of our wedding ceremony for those unable to attend in person. We invite you to join us virtually by watching the ceremony online from the comfort of your home or wherever you may be. We will post the link to the ceremony closer to the wedding day. We can't wait to celebrate with you in person or virtually!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Boston is known for being very walkable. The ceremony and reception sites are about a 10-minute walk apart. It's easy to get a Lyft or Uber between the hotels and the event locations. We recommend planning transportation in advance for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Question

Should I bring my children?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your children, we have decided to have an adults-only wedding. We understand that traveling without your children or leaving them with a sitter during our wedding may pose a challenge. We want to ensure you feel supported and cared for and that your experience at our wedding is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. We have compiled a list of trusted babysitters in the area that Jillian knows personally if you bring your children and require childcare. Please let us know if you want the list; we hope it will help make the decision a little easier for you. We appreciate your understanding, and we can't wait to share our special day with you.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to a USPS error, many invitations have been returned to us. We're working to resend them quickly. We apologize for any confusion or delay, and we can't wait to celebrate with you soon! Formal invitations have been mailed. Please RSVP via our website by August 10, 2024, to support environmental conservation.
