6:00 pm
Attire: Pure Michigan. Jeans, fleece, gym shoes, baseball cap, etc.
Though he doesn't look a day over 80, John will be shaking off his 46th birthday with some fresh Michigan air, craft beers/ciders, and bbq at one of our favorite Up North spots. Get off the road, put your feet up by a fire pit, and enjoy a cold brew. All early arrivals are welcome to join us at kid-friendly Hop Lot, the backyard we all wish we had! Please note this is not a hard start at 6:00 pm. Rather, it will begin "around six-ish." (Yes, yes, do the air quotes as you read it aloud.)
7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Some will be coming from the rehearsal. Some will be coming from the airport. Some will be getting off the road. Come as you are! And come at any time between 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Please join us on the 10th Floor of the hotel for some zabawa/craic to officially kick off the weekend's festivities! Come ready for family, fun, and that which ensure the former is the latter: drinks! We hope to mix it up enough Friday that there are no strangers come Saturday. Cocktails and the best views from the highest point in Traverse City. NOTE: No food will be served.
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Attire: Really? We know your mothers raised you better than that!
There are two routes to the church: 1) M37 is recommended for older and more conservative drivers, offering a well-paved scenic trip through the peninsula's vineyards. 2) Peninsula Dr. follows the shoreline, past many "OMG, what do you think THAT costs?" homes and offers enough cell coverage to find out in your Zillow app. Please note this is a small church, originally built in 1881. Later arrivals might be seated on the "other side." (This isn't a problem unless Jill sees you're on the "wrong" side during the ceremony and furrows her freshly manicured brows. You'll have some serious explaining to do at the reception, because she'll know...and she'll know you know she knows.) Interestingly, St. Joseph's makes and sells wine from its vineyards, and it's the same wine they use during Mass. More about the church can be found here: https://www.stjosephtc.org/st-joseph-church-history. P.S. Sorry, Protestants, you're going to have to earn this reception; it's a full Catholic Mass.
5:00 pm
Attire: Cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. Dress to dance the night away!
Let's disco! Please join us for cocktails, dinner, and dancing into the evening...

Come make amends for your questionable attempts at the polka over a continental breakfast. We're bringing things full-circle and gathering back on the 10th Floor for a send-off for all travelers.
