We're Getting Married!

When exactly is disputed, but late 2016 into 2017 is generally agreed upon as when Jill and Daniel first met while working in the photo studio at Forever 21 in Lincoln Heights (less than 10 minutes east of the Wrensmoor on the west side of Ascot Hills!). Daniel caught Jill's eye, and with the help of a co-worker to get Daniel's attention, they officially began dating on January 11th, 2018. Five years went by in a flash, marked by many trips big and small, from vacations in Thailand (Nov. 2019), Paris (Jan. 2022), and Italy (Sept. 2022), to Jill flying out to Vancouver (May 2019) or Toronto (Aug. 2022) for the weekend when Daniel's band brought him out there. In between: Daniel moving Jill into a house of boys, helping each other navigate the tumultuous industry they found each other in, and of course celebrating many birthdays and other special occasions at Jon & Vinny's or Union Pasadena. Daniel proposed to Jill on January 11th, 2023 — their 5th anniversary and eve of a weekend trip up to Carmel — at home surrounded by balloons, candles (thanks mom & dad!) and very overdue to be put away Christmas decorations. And now, much to this writer's surprise at how quickly it has come, Jill and Daniel look forward to getting married in just a few months on their 7th anniversary January 11th, 2025!
