We were both Communications majors at Sonoma State and met through some mutual friends during classes Sophomore year of college. Fast forward two years to the very end of senior year, we started dating and both had exciting plans to move to San Francisco after school ended

We went to San Diego for the weekend in December 2017 to see Jill's favorite band, The Lumineers, in concert with best friends Geena and Garrett. After a morning walk along the beach, we walked out to the end of the Ocean Beach pier where Cody popped the question - we spent the rest of the day opening thoughtful letters and gifts from family and friends, popping champagne on the beach and dancing all night long at The Lumineers concert
