Hi, I’m Julia! Jillaine and I did debate together in high school and she has been one of my very best friends ever since! There are so many fun memories we have made over the years. One of my favorites is a day trip that we did to the Oregon coast where we ended up finding a beautiful glass float hidden under some driftwood. These days I live in New Jersey with my husband Justin, our children Liam and Nella, and our two cats. I am so grateful for Jillaine and so excited to celebrate her as she marries Jerrome!

Jerrome and I first met while axe throwing, very shortly afterwards we had a "are we best friends?" moment after finding out that we both liked the Red Rising Trilogy. Jerrome, you should continue the series, Lightbringer is great! One of my favorite memories we experienced together was us getting tortured at a sketchy haunted experience behind a closed kmart... as well as remaking the matrix movie! Buoys keep each other afloat! A little about me is that I am a board game addict and own two pets, Shadow and Luna!

I first met Jillaine in the summer of 2009 but we didn't become friends for another year and a half. The second time we met was my first term at Chemeketa Community College in January 2011. My first day of classes I found myself sitting to eat lunch with a different acquaintance at that time. Luckily, Jillaine was also sitting with them. From that day on we became very fast friends. We initially bonded over history but our friendship grew into a sisterhood sharing in faith, hobbies, and ideas. All of my siblings are much older than me and Jillaine became the sister I never had. We have gone through so much together and I am honored to be part of this new chapter in her life as well.

I met Jerrome on my second night in the US at a board game night and being the kind, fun-loving and welcoming gent he is, he ensured I was settled into the AV in no time. Eventually I convinced him to come on a 'short' backpacking trip, which was coincidentally just as he started talking to Jillaine, resulting in some 'ghosting' confusion as I dragged him around the signal-less wilderness so much that he also slept the whole way home and didn't wake until two days later... sorry! He hasn't come with me again on another hike... If you would like to get to know me, lets do it in the wilderness... preferably with a good English tea!

I have had the joy to know Jillaine since birth, and I could not imagine a better older sister. She is so supportive, caring, and fun. I love that we can quote our favorite books and movies endlessly, talk for hours, and I can always come to her for advice.

Jerrome and I met in July 2019 at an axe throwing event he organized for the AV (Antelope Valley) 20s and 30s Meetup group. At least that’s the first meeting we remember. We had both been members for much longer (him 2013, me 2015), though he moved to Santa Clarita and back during part of this time. So who knows, lol. We certainly don’t. Regardless, us two oddballs hit it off right away for some reason! Maybe it’s our fake, sarcastic way of being mean (aka showing love) to each other. We have gone on many adventures, along with other friends, many in the groomsperson party, since then. Some of my favorite adventures include ninja lessons; Harry Potter- and 1920s-themed dance shows; a Tough Mudder run; a Holi festival; camping trips to Trona Pinnacles, Table Mountain, and Lake Tahoe; countless in-person and virtual covid-time game nights; and a glorious remake of the first Matrix movie Something to know about me is that I’m deceptively shy for how open/ outgoing I appear, though I’m also probably one of the most loyal people you will ever meet. So happy for Jerrome and Jillaine, and honored to be a part of their beautiful day, as well as the lead up!! <3

Jillaine is my oldest sister and growing up homeschooled we were always pretty close. But when I was in high school and she was in college we got a lot closer. She imparted her love of coffee to me and is always there if I need to vent or just chat about life.
