The story began online, and after chatting for a while, Vien agreed to come to a friend's house party to meet Jessy in person. There were drinks, dancing, delicious snacks and an instant connection. They were inseparable from that night on.

Vien's mom & sister took Jessy to the outlet mall for a girls' day. During that afternoon, Vien, his brother Peter, and two of his best friends came to the house to help set the scene. When the ladies arrived home, Vien greeted Jessy at the door with a bouquet of purple flowers. He led her up the stairs to their bedroom, which had been completely redecorated with a candlelit dinner and roses. Along the bay windows, was a timeline of pictures from their relationship.
