Wedding Party

Hannah Thielmeyer

"Old Sport"

- I met Jessie when our dads did the awkward engineer wave at each other from down the hall in Teter and bonded with Paige when we had math homework Wednesdays in her room first semester - Every new years and summer Jessie would pick me up in Greenwood to carpool to Valpo to visit Paige (and Monica) for our bi-annual basement celebration. We'd know we were almost there because of the windmills. - As "rommates" senior year, we had the very important holiday of Bitchday, the day after your birthday where you a) get a cake and 2) can be as bitchy as you want. - One time for Jessie's YouTube channel we made a bunch of videos in rapid succession but all swapped shirts between them so they were TOTALLY DIFFERENT - Favorite memories: College shenanigans in general including the best Secret Valentine's ever, spontaneous musicals, road trip to Disney, Rock Band and Just Dance marathons, and surviving organic chemistry.

Monica Funk

"Dance Floor Coordinator"

- I met Paige in high school, but she doesn’t remember we sat together at lunch sometime in sophomore year before actually being friends junior year. - We frequently had Friday night study parties at Paige's house senior year or bonfires at my house. - I met Jessie freshman year in college since she lived on the same floor as Paige, Dimana, and what came to be known as the "Sober Corner" friends (although that name did not always remain as apt). - Favorite memory of Paige and Jessie is anything we did when we lived together in college (quidditch beer pong, playing rock band, the Space Team household, throwing spaghetti at my face for the meme, trip to Disney, renting out a bounce house for my birthday).

Emily Meier

"The Emily part of the Zemilys"

Favorite memories with the brides: - Bingo night at Yogi’s where they strangely run out of potatoes and give out random bar prizes - A 14 hour road trip to Atlanta that should have taken 8 but everyone decided that was a great day to create bumper to bumper traffic, but we made it and had a fun trip - Lots of board game nights, specifically Machi Koro Legacy where Jessie wins 80% of the time Paige and I win 10% each and Zach wins 0%. Someday we will finish it! - Fun hiking in SoCal where we see all the lizards and name them all Joshua - Group get together for the 4th and new years, staying up way too late but always having a lot of fun (miss being young)

Destiny Bonshire

"The Wild Card"

- I met Paige in high school and Jessie while visiting IU. - Jessie was the officiant at my wedding & Paige was one of my bridesmaids. - Paige & I used to have a notebook that we passed back and forth in high school. - Paige & Jessie are two of my favorite people to play games with or to dance with 💜

Zach Meier

"Z of the Zemily’s"

Fave memories with the brides: - Met through Emma but ended up clicking and became really good friends a year later when we attended college. - I loved all of our new years parties! - Hitting up Kirkwood on Halloween and just partying / dancing the night away. - Traveling 13 hours for an 8 hour trip to Georgia. - That time in LA where we ordered food at a place we wanted to eat, and got there in like 10 minutes of closing ahahhaha. - Ohhh #6 ahaha I loved that magical night at Newfields Christmas lights and the wonderful snow making everything picturesque.

Dimana Tzvetkova

"The Traveler"

- I met Paige sophomore year of high school because we had creative writing and English together. - I met Jessie because we shared a wall freshman year of college, and Jessie, Paige, Julianne, and I tried to communicate by morse code. - I loved every single Friday and/or Saturday of senior year of high school that I spent at Paige's parents' house (or Monica's) with Paige, Monica, Maddie, and Destiny studying and doing homework and hanging out. - That one time in DC when we posed in front of the Lincoln Memorial for the cover of our boy band CD. - That one time we (+ Maddie) went to BookCon in Chicago and got free books. There's also a photo of us (that Jessie has) where we're all pretending to be at Grand Teton National Park.

Nimisha Kumar

"Supreme Mugwump"

- We were neighbors our first year of college and then I was Paige's roommate for a year! - When I was Paige's roommate, we used to loudly sing PO-TAY-TO as we cooked - Idk how to summarize but we had quite the year of starting fires - Jessie and I used to walk 20min to physics class and back in silence - They always let me third wheel <3

Maddie Schenck

"Book Dragon"

- I met Paige in high school in creative writing class. - Paige and my mom had a running joke that she was paid to be my friend that went on for YEARS. - Pretty much every time I hang out with Jessie and Paige we go to an escape room and crush it (usually with someone else in the wedding party). - I had avoided Pokémon Go for over a year until I visited Paige and Jessie in Indy, and they managed to get me into within an hour. - Any time I hang out with Jessie we are guaranteed to eat well. She has the best food recommendations.

Eli Harman

“Bridesfellow”

- We met in medical school Favorite memories: - Many amazing game nights - Fun rock climbing times - Hanging out as pandemic buddies - Awesome trip to Seattle

Shelby Graf

"Adopted Daughter of the Brides"

- The brides taught me how to open a champagne bottle with a sword - Paige taught me how to play very stressful, high-stakes video games (like Mario Brothers) - I met Paige in Pediatrics residency, and Jessie very soon after (pretty sure it was the same day at a clinic picnic) - Paige and Jessie adopted me, forcibly made me their roommate, coerced me into befriending their friends, and ensured I was well-fed throughout. I loved every moment of it, despite an arsonist setting fire to the apartment building, necessitating a remodel of the hallway and several apartments. - My favorite escape room team name remains to this day “Five Gays and a Shelby”

Grant Callen

"The Ordained"

- We met in college as “fraters” in PhiDE - One of my earliest favorite memories is of Paige, Jessie, and Nimisha coming to a holiday party where I drunkenly failed to convince them to play beer pong. I may not remember much from that night but I remember Paige giving me so much shit for how drunk I was! - A poignant memory for me, especially as their former “president” was being front row at our white coat ceremony and getting to see Jessie and Paige coated after all our hard work in undergrad - SO many birthdays and holiday parties! Can’t forget my 27th birthday where I showed up a half hour late for my own surprise/not surprise birthday! Or the “he must never depart” party they threw for me before my last trip to Kenya. - The last fact is that I LOVE them and am so PROUD of them!! In June of 2019 we all walked together in the PRIDE parade as part of IUSM Alliance, which they so expertly led. It was the first time I had walked the parade as an openly queer person and it was so much more special because we all got to do it together ♥️
