Jessica and Stephen first crossed paths in the Fall of 2010 in San Antonio. Stephen was an incoming freshman, and Jessica a sophomore, both members of the golf team at the University of the Incarnate Word. Jessica recalls quickly noticing Stephen on the first day of golf practice, with his tan skin and ability to hit the golf ball farther than most others on the team. While there was a strong mutual attraction, the two remained "just friends" during their time at UIW (perhaps influenced by the presence of Jessica's older brother Jared on the golf team) and walked the stage together as part of the graduating class of 2014. It would be over a year later in August 2015 that they reconnected after Stephen received a surprise invitation to join Jessica and friends to float the Comal River in New Braunfels (thanks Jared!). The river led to a string of weekends and time spent together as the two finally realized an undeniable spark that perhaps simply needed more time to kindle a flame. Indeed timing was everything for the pair, as they then found themselves meeting the respective families, playing countless rounds of golf, traveling the country together, and most importantly falling deeply in love. Fast forward to the now-infamous year 2020, and two Masters degrees, a relocation 160 miles south to Stephen's hometown Corpus Christi, first-time homeowners, and one corgi puppy named Kaya later, Jessica and Stephen eagerly await June 2021 when they will become forever husband and wife. We are so excited to celebrate this occasion with each of you. Thank you so much for the impact and the many contributions you have made in each of our lives. Cheers to the future Mr. and Mrs. Litz!
