Hello friends and family! Welcome to our wedding website where you can find all the details of our wedding such as travel accommodations, things to do in the area, the wedding weekend schedule, etc. You can also RSVP under the RSVP page and choose your meal for the reception as well. We are so happy to start our marriage with you, who we consider to be the most important people in our lives. Thank you for supporting us this far in our journey. We cannot wait to celebrate with you in January! Love, Jess and Nick
Our love story began on a cold winter evening on December 27, 2017. We chatted for hours at Milltown Coffee, a cozy coffee shop located along the Mississippi River in Moline, Illinois. The evening also included delicious pizza and drinks, and eventually an impromptu Gingerbread House making competition in Jess’ apartment kitchen. Lots of flirtatious banter and laughing turned into a sweet slow dance when Nick grabbed Jess as a popular Chris Stapleton song came over the Bluetooth speaker. The rest is history! In our almost four years together, Nick has moved from Galesburg, Illinois to Davenport, Iowa, to be with Jess. We’ve introduced our beloved Jager and Henry and they’re now the best of friends and doggy brothers. Nick has become a well respected Lock and Dam operator for the Corps of Engineers and Jess has made the move from teaching Special Education to now teaching 2nd Grade for Davenport Community Schools. We are excited to continue to work towards our dreams and goals while settling down in the Quad Cities. Some of our favorite memories together include getting to attend our first NHL game together in Detroit, Michigan, Go Red Wings! We’ve seen Chris Stapleton live at a music festival in Wisconsin (and yes, we slow danced to “our song” that started it all in Jess’ apartment) and we’ve kayaked and caught too many fish to count. In January of 2020, Nick popped the question at Vanderveer Park on a beautiful snowy night, and Jess said yes! We cannot wait for this new chapter to begin!
