Kimberly's Carousel

This is sometimes out of order, but if this is up and running you need to take a spin on this carousel. It is a PIB staple.

Scheeff East Point Nature Preserve

Just a fun place to go, some pretty great views too.

Jane Coates Wildflower Trail

NOTE: This is not easy to find! Your GPS will misguide you. Lori and I took a nice hike up someone's very long driveway on accident (it was a beautiful driveway full of wildflowers!). The entrance to this trail is across the street and down the road from where your GPS takes you. It is a nice little hike through the woods, it doesn't take very long.

Rent a Golf Cart!!

It's a must. Simple as that.

Miller Ferry

This will give you the true PIB experience. We only recommend Jet Express if you are not staying the night on PIB. Just be sure to watch the ferry schedules, they can change with the weather and if you miss the last ferry you're going to be looking for a couch to surf.

The Boathouse Bar and Grill

One of our favorites. Good food, and friendly staff. Pro tip: Ask about the left-handed keg wrench.

Frostys Bar & Family Pizza Big Man's Burrito Stand

This is a great bar atmosphere and a wonderful breakfast place. Breakfast can get a little spendy but the food is worth it. ALSO!!! Excellent pizza. PRO TIP: Order a pizza to go and keep it in your hotel room for when you get back from the bars late at night. You'll thank us later.

South Bass Island State Park

#1 place to see amazing sunsets. You do not want to miss this.

Captain Alfred Parker Park

This has great views as well. You'll want to bring a lock and add it to the lock fence to commemorate your trip to the Island. Locks and Sharpies are available for purchase at Island Hardware located at 421 Langram Road

Joe's Bar

This is a true PIB locals bar. The locals and seasonal staff frequent Joe's.

Topsy Turvey's Bar & Grill

They have great food and this is another island favorite frequented by the seasonal staff. Bring a dollar bill to put on the wall. We'll buy you a drink if you can find ours! :-)

Goat Soup & Whiskey Biergarten

This is a great outdoor German-inspired bar. The bartenders are super fun and they have pretzels! The Goat (indoor restaurant) is said to have amazing food, we have not been there but let us know if you try it. Pro tip: Don't believe the bartenders about free drinks. They will send you on a wild goose chase.
