We’re getting married!

We met at Mila’s 3rd birthday party! Brooklyn & Mila were in the same daycare class & Brooklyn was invited with her classmates to celebrate Mila’s birthday at the Cape May Zoo. After that day, Jake arranged for the girls to meet for a play date. We agreed to meet at Scotland Run Park & we both enjoyed this time together & from then arranged to meet again so Jake attended Diane’s birthday party at Jessi’s house where they talked for hours getting to know each other and from that point on, our dating relationship began!

It was our 3rd day in Aruba on our friends vacation with Diane & Herb, Jaimie & Sean. Everyone knew that Jake had my engagement ring with him except me of course! He was waiting for the perfect time during the trip to pop the question and felt that Sunday night at dinner on the beach was the perfect time and it absolutely was! We arrived at Passions on the Beach Restaurant at sunset and there was a violinist playing the most beautiful music. There were tiki torches lit all around the beach with elegant tables set up right on the beach just feet away from the water. We sat down to dine, ordered our drinks and Jake gave a toast to all of us at the table, thanking our friends for welcoming him in so warmly over the past year we have all spent getting to know each other. He then asked me to stand for a special toast that led him to his proposal with the question, “will you marry me” to which I said “YES!!!”.

We had a small ceremony with only a few friends and family last year when we were legally married. We knew we wanted to be married as soon as possible but wanted to have a larger celebration at a later date so that is exactly what we did! We exchanged vows, welcomed Gianna in the world in November and now are ready to celebrate our love with a larger group of our friends and family July 23, 2023, our wedding anniversary date with a blessing of our marriage in the church!
