Jess and Eric met at Illinois Wesleyan University. One of Jessica’s friends was hosting a smoothie night event. Jessica came for the free smoothies and found Eric working on an Economics paper. She proceeded to distract him from his work until he invited her along to dinner. Both Jess and Eric say that something about that dinner was special – Jess remembers telling her friends that she knew Eric was supposed to be in her life. Then, after a year of friendship, they began dating on December 1, 2015. Over their 5+ years together, they have had quite the adventure – from living in Nashville, TN to New York City. Eric obtained his law degree from Vanderbilt and began his first job as a Lawyer at Milbank in Manhattan. Jessica is currently finishing her medical degree at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. They have traveled from coast-to-coast exploring National Parks from the Smokey Mountains to Arcadia National Park to Yosemite. With their mutual love of hiking and traveling, they look forward to exploring other countries once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
