After being lucky enough to meet each other online, we decided to see if the chemistry we felt over the phone would be as good as in person. Martha suggested that we go on a hike on the Indian Seat trail the next day, and so we went. The trail was short, but not too short to immediately feel comfort in the other's presence, learning more about our families, friends, and interests. After enjoying the beautiful view at the summit together we headed back down the trail. Not wanting to leave each other's side, we grabbed a post-hike meal. In that moment, the first sparks of a beautiful love story were ignited, leading us up to this day.
A lot of our relationship has been formed by Lake Lanier. We have spent many days enjoying the sun there, walking with the dogs or sitting by the water. This made it only fitting that it was also the place in which we got engaged. That wasn't always the plan though, as luck would have it the original plan at the Indian Seat trail was thrown off by a late nail appointment and bad timing. It was only a small inconvenience however, as the following day we took the dogs for a seemingly normal walk around the Little Creek Trail by the lake, and right by the waterside the question was asked!
