We met back in 2015, when Jess began her journey in America on a 4 month work secondment for Grant Thornton. Johnathan already worked there, and so they met between client assignments with Johnathan pretending to like Aussie hip-hop (Hilltop Hoods) as an excuse to talk to her more. Before we knew it Jess had extended her stay to 18 months, and then permanently. We even planned a trip to South Africa after only months of knowing each other, and the rest is history in the making!

We got engaged in August 2019, when Johnathan completely surprised Jess by asking her to marry him during pre-dinner drinks on an unassuming date night in Santa Ana. We celebrated that night with a very special dinner at Playground 2.0 (our old fave) followed by cocktails with friends.
