We had to Google it too so don't feel bad. While "cocktail attire" can have many different interpretations, The Casino Club does have a dress code that must be adhered to for the Welcome Drinks. For gentlemen, a jacket, tie, and dress shoes are required. For women, a dress that is suitable for semi-formal occasions. For both men and women, at no time are denim (jeans), shorts, t-shirts, tube tops, flip flops, sneakers, or athletic shoes permitted on the premises.
Don't own or want to rent a tux? No problem. Black tie optional means that you are welcome to wear a tuxedo, but feel free to opt for a dark suit and tie instead. For women, long gowns are appropriate, but so are cocktail dresses as long as the hemline isn't too short or the style too revealing. Similar to The Casino Club, The Chicago Club also has a strict dress code, so at no time are denim (jeans), shorts, t-shirts, tube tops, flip flops, sneakers, or athletic shoes permitted on the premises.
For the Welcome Party, round trip shuttle service will be provided between the Hilton Hotel and The Casino Club. 8:00 PM Bus will depart Hilton Chicago 8th Street Entrance (near the FedEx in the lobby) 10:00 PM Bus will return to Hilton Chicago For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, The Chicago Club is just a three block walk from the Hilton Hotel.
We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! Kids will not be permitted at the weekend's events. If bringing your kids to Chicago is unavoidable, please reach out so we can discuss babysitting accommodations during the wedding events.
If you will be driving to the ceremony and reception, we will have complimentary valet parking available in front of The Chicago Club's entrance on Van Buren Street.
The favor of a response is requested by June 18th.
We hadn't done our tasting before the invitations went out so we couldn't tell you what the actual dishes were, but we've now tasted all three and they are delicious! For the beef option, we'll be serving a filet mignon with miso creamed spinach, crispy fingerlings and a tempura onion ring. For the chicken option, we'll be serving grilled chicken breast with roasted green beans, rosemary-garlic grilled potatoes, citrus crumbs, and soubise. And for the vegetarian option, we'll be serving ricotta gnocchi with tomato relish, crispy parmesan, brussels sprouts, and tomato jus
