7 years ago, Jess and Bobby met at Hotel Monaco in Philly. Bobby was immediately intrigued by the 'positive bubbly blonde' running around the hotel. While Jess (who was initially hesitant at Bobby's passionate kitchen outbursts), would find herself being drawn to the dynamically funny chef with a sensitive vibe. In true Jess & Bobby style, it was a bit of a messy few months, catching each other's eye, playing hard to get, and passive aggressively running into one another in the stairwells. Both of them being very strong willed and independent made for interesting flirting. Eventually though, the stars and work projects aligned, and Jess needed a tasting of Bobby's new menu. In true Millennial style, Bobby cleverly slid into her DMs, and asked her to, "go for drinks while talking culinary detz, and kill 2 birds with one stone" (super slick Bob! ;) Their initial escapade, is now a historically famous first date tale. Beginning at Oyster House in Center City Philly, and ending with Bobby (like the true gentleman he is), taking care of a tipsy Jessica after she attempted (and badly failed) to make a move on him in an elevator *whoops*. That night, Jess learned 2 things - 1. the dangers of only consuming a few oysters (not a real meal) with a bit too much red wine (hello nerves) - and 2. that she was truly smitten with Bobby's charm and hoped he would call back. Luckily, Bobby likes a wild time and laughs in the face of life's mishaps. He was happy to venture onto date #2. And just like that - 14 jobs, 7 moves, 2 dogs, 1 house, & 1 pandemic later - these crazy love birds are beyond ecstatic to celebrate with their beloved family and friends, and get freakin married!!
