We have partnered with James Abel and Charlie Johnston with C&J Travel to help with booking our entire party. Charlie was actually Jeremy's supervisor in grad school at Northern Illinois University and since then, he and his husband, James, have started their own travel agency and the two are cruise experts! They have negotiated a group rate with Norwegian but they can only hold the rates for 60 days at a time. After this, folks will still be able to book at any time up to sailing (if space is available) but at the-then rates as they will continue to renegotiate the rates with Norwegian . You can find out more about all of the different package options on the booking page that James and Charlie have set up for us located here (https://traveljoy.com/bookings/h3z4z9F3BJVzppbXF5LWjm7i/). One of the great things about Norwegian is that you can select a few different "perks" including a drink package, internet package, and more depending on the type of room you select. James and Charlie standby to help with any travel-related questions or concerns you might have. They can be reached at: james@candjtravel.com.
Passports are highly recommended but not required to sail or get off the ship in Canada. The reason is because the ship leaves and returns from a US port. However, having a passport can make the embarkation day and debarkation days run way smoother. If you don't have a passport, you can use a Driver's License and a certified copy of your Birth Certificate. If you name has changed from what is listed on your birth certificate, you would need to show proof of the change with either a marriage certificate or official name change paperwork. Whatever option you choose will not prevent you from being able to get off the ship in Canada. We do encourage everyone to research more regarding any specific concerns/questions you or other travelers in your party may have if you plan to get off the boat when we arrive for the brief port stop in Victoria, British Columbia at the end of the cruise before returning to Seattle. Please note that we are not planning anything specific at this port for celebrations/ceremony purposes so there will be no requirement to leave the ship unless you want to explore Victoria.
We get it--you want to be able to post all of those Insta-worthy moments with glaciers and lumberjacks. Norwegian includes several "perks" (also known as free at sea deals) depending on which room type you may choose to select. One of the common perks is 150 minutes of internet per person in each cabin which are automagically added to your onboard account. You are able to upgrade this package to have more access or premium Wi-Fi if you'd like once you have booked your package (find out more about the internet offerings on NCL's page here: https://www.ncl.com/onboard-packages/internet-packages). Keep in mind that where we will be sailing can be remote at times and likely signal and data speed will be slow or extremely limited. This can be a great time to disconnect and take a stroll around the ship and check out all of the things you can enjoy on the voyage. Don't forget that most standard phone plans also include Canada now so you may wish to conserve your internet minutes while on the ship and you can use your regular cell phone data plan as you would at home when you are off the ship in Alaska or Canada (don't forget to make sure your cell phone plan includes this before activating any data/cell roaming!)
