Here come the Ortega's

Jeremiah and Erika met September 12th 2015 at a quinceanera dance practice, where they were paired as partners. Jeremiah had a great sense of humor, but was shy around strangers. Erika was a giggly gal who loved to talk. It was at the dance practices where they got to know each other more. After dance practice, Jeremiah and Erika would go out on dates and begin to fall for each other. Erika noticed Jeremiah’s positive outlook on life and loved that he always saw the best in people. Jeremiah loved how caring Erika was for those around her. It didn’t hurt that she also laughed at all his jokes. On November 28th, two months after they met, Jeremiah asked Erika to be his girlfriend! They were both in their sophomore year at McNeil High School and loved to attend school events. Jeremiah was a linebacker on the football team and Erika was captain of the Folklorico dance team. They both were inseparable. Jeremiah liked Erika so much that he joined the Folklorico dance team in order to continue dancing with her, just like the day they first met. The football coaches thought Folklorico was not the right move for someone who got their letterman jacket for football, but Jeremiah didn’t care. The pair took any opportunity to be together, and even both got jobs working at HEB. Towards the end of senior year, it was prom season. Jeremiah already knew Erika would be his date to prom but he never missed an opportunity to make every event special. He prom-posed to her in front of the whole school with big signs and flowers. The night of prom they won prom king and queen! Once graduation came, they decided to stay close to home and attend Austin Community College while continuing their jobs at HEB. A year later they decided they were ready to take another step forward and move in together. They added three fur babies to the mix; Brownie, Coco, and Frosty. After living together for a year, Jeremiah decided to propose to the love of his life again, of course making it a special event. In the backyard that Jeremiah decorated with lights and flowers, Erika said YES! After 6 years together, we can't wait to celebrate with all of you on November 18th!
