We Are Getting Married!!!

We met at a CD release party at one of our favorite live music venues in Fort Worth. I was sitting "alone" at the bar and Alex was with a group of friends. A weird tiguan car commercial came on and Alex used it to break the ice. I wasn't impressed and gave Alex my "fake name" Sam, to try and ward him off. As luck would have it Alex was being nudged in my direction (either by friends or beer, the verdict is still out). Alex laid his phone out open to the contacts section and I gave in and gave him my number. It wasn't until our first date that I confessed my name wasn't Sam.

Alex and I had been dating for over a year and had been talking about marriage and houses. For atleast a month we had been driving past townhouses that are being in built in an upcoming area in Fort Worth hoping that one of them would be ours some day. After much thought and saving, we decided to put in an offer on a townhome that was being built and it was accepted!! Since we had been taking weekly pictures of the house, it was no big deal when Alex took me by the house to take our weekly picture after we had been to dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date. When we arrived, I was quite upset over open windows and Alex trying to "break in" to our new home. When Alex finally convinced me to come inside, I saw lights strung from the framing leading upstairs and heard our song, Tennesse Whiskey, playing in the background. As we approached our master bedroom a slide show of our favorite pictures together was playing on the wall. As Alex knelt down and said alot of amazing things, I cried. A lot. Lucky for me a gopro recorded the entire thing!!!
