We first met in 2014 when Henry was visiting Maryland for a weekend. We would see each other at assemblies and conventions but nothing happened for many years. In 2019, Jenny visited Warwick and Henry just so happened (wink wink) to give the tour. We hung out but still, nothing happened. It wasn't until 2022, when some friends tried setting us up with each other, that we considered the idea of dating. It was an awkward first virtual date, but we both left feeling hopeful and excited about where this would go.

2/16/23: It was a cold, foggy, rainy Thursday. Jenny was going home after her weekday meeting. She was lured to Columbia Lakefront under the false pretenses that her family wanted a cheeseboard. After securing an assortment of cheeses, her younger sister Tracy claimed she was failing school and wanted to walk around the lake to relieve some stress. Jenny reluctantly walked towards the lake, when suddenly string lights lit up. Henry was waiting for her. He had come up a day early to surprise Jenny. Jenny was stunned. He made a picture book recounting the memories they had made over the past couple months. They looked through it together and then Henry got on one knee. He popped the question. Jenny said yes but she was not prepared for what happened next. Jenny and Henry's family and friends had traveled from near and far. They appeared out of nowhere yelled, "Surprise!!!". It was one of the most memorable moments of her life, and that she's thankful she was able to share it with all those present.
