Group Hike

0.5 mile west of 4th Street on Mapleton Ave, Boulder, CO
Drew and Jenny will meet anyone who'd like to get out to walk/hike one of Boulder's classic trails. Mount Sanitas has three trail options that all depart from the same trailhead, and each offers varying level of difficulty to accommodate all types of walkers and hikers. If you're not used to elevation or have mobility concerns, Sanitas Valley trail is a smooth, wide trail that climbs gently but consistently uphill for 1.2 miles. Return on the same trail, or hike back down on the slightly more technical Dakota Ridge trail. Dakota Ridge is a single-track trail that runs parallel to the Valley Trail. You'll hike over roots and rocks and navigate some stone steps. The Sanitas Summit trail is a steep, demanding scramble. It's short, but it's a butt-kicker. Shuttles will depart the Hilton Garden Inn in Boulder at 3:30 p.m. and return after the wedding at 10:30 p.m. If you are staying at the Hilton, you have already been assigned a shuttle seat. If you are not staying at the Hilton but staying somewhere else in Boulder and would like to take advantage of the shuttle, please let Jenny or Drew know by Wednesday, May 26.
