Due to the current number of cases and overall risk of COVID-19 in Tulsa, we have made the decision to postpone our larger wedding reception to March 26, 2021. We will hold a small ceremony in September with our families and members of our wedding party, but hope to celebrate with you SAFELY at Spain Ranch in March. (Please cross your fingers for us, and more importantly, wear your mask & continue to practice social distancing!) We are incredibly grateful for your understanding and continued love and support through what we know is a challenging time for everyone. We cannot wait to see you in 2021!

We met as educators in Tulsa. Jenny, a graduate of Oberlin College in Ohio and I, a graduate of Baylor University in Texas, joined Teach For America in 2012. We managed to avoid each other for nearly two years. Our paths finally crossed in the Spring of 2014 thanks to mutual friends. We quickly discovered our complementary quirks, and that though we came from different worlds, we both made each other’s better. Jenny was on her way to work for Teach For America in Oklahoma City. I had a summer to be with her. We went on dates, we went on walks, and we soon found ourselves making it “official” and driving 90 miles down the turnpike every chance we had to visit each other. A year later, Jenny returned to her beloved Tulsa (and to my lucky self), and the rest was history.
