We have come to the difficult decision to scale back our original wedding plans. Jenni Lee was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We are both grateful that it was caught early. We have already met with wonderful doctors who are helping us navigate the way forward. We will be having a smaller ceremony with just our bridal parties and family. We are very thankful that we had so many friends and family who had planned to join us for our wedding and hope to host a celebration with you all at a later date. Any funds given towards our honeymoon will now be used to purchase any non-gifted items from our registry and also towards furniture for our new apartment together. We thank you all so much for your generosity and would greatly appreciate prayers for this next chapter.
Jenni Lee and Owen were born just two weeks apart. They grew up just 2.3 miles from each other. Their brothers both played in the same little league. Who knows how often they were in the same place at the same time as they grew up. However, they did not meet until July 12th, 2019, after getting to know each other through a dating app. The timing wasn’t quite right though and they went their separate ways just before the pandemic. Now they look back on this time apart as a period of growth and a blessing. They reconnected in August of 2021 and fostered a solid friendship which blossomed into a renewed relationship on January 2nd, 2022. After 624 days, Owen proposed to Jenni Lee on September 18th, 2023. They are carefully planning and preparing and are so thrilled to promise “Always and Forever” to each other on June 7th, 2025. After experiencing many matchups between their rivalry teams (Vanderbilt and Tennessee), they are confident that their relationship will withstand the test of time and there’s no one else they’d want to walk through life with. They are so excited to get married and to celebrate alongside all of the family and friends who have encouraged them along the way.
