This is another great town in the area with a lot of shops and things to do. There is a farmers market every Saturday during the summer from 8am-2pm with fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and honeys, artisan cheeses and meats, fresh fish and cut flowers.

Windmill Island Gardens is home to de Zwaan windmill, the last mill allowed to be transported from the Netherlands. de Zwaan still functions by grinding locally-grown grain into flour that is sold to visitors and local businesses. A highlight of visiting is a tour of this historic working windmill. There are several other replica Dutch buildings and shops. The Island is home to beautiful gardens which feature tulips in the spring followed by beautiful annuals and perennials throughout the summer.
Coppercraft Distillery creates a full line of handcrafted spirits distilled from Vendome copper stills. Based in Holland, the distillery and restaurant offers a full bar of handcrafted, premium cocktails & a seasonally changing menu of American gastro food with a few southern touches. This location also offers distillery tours (book online). Coppercraft also has a tasting room in downtown Saugatuck.

A flat, packed-dirt trail takes visitors from the parking area through old-field habitat, past a new tree planting, into shady coastal woods. Turning to the right at the marked intersection in the woods, the trail continues a short distance to bluffs that offer scenic views of Lake Michigan. Turning to the left, the trail continues just a bit further to a steep path down to a small, natural beach.
