Michigan Maritime Museum
From hands-on exhibits at an authentic waterfront campus to historically immersive experiences aboard an on-water fleet. Five separate structures offer a variety of engaging opportunities for the Museum visitor, including permanent and changing exhibits on Michigan maritime history, a center for the teaching of boat-building and related maritime skills, and a fleet of period and replica vessels available to visitors for on-water experiences. Waterfront festivals and events are complemented by the hustle and bustle of a modern harbor and vast sandy beaches in one of west Michigan’s most picturesque shoreline communities.
Holland
This is another great town in the area with a lot of shops and things to do. There is a farmers market every Saturday during the summer from 8am-2pm with fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and honeys, artisan cheeses and meats, fresh fish and cut flowers.
Holland Museum
Here you'll experience the arrival of the Dutch in 1847, their struggle for access to Lake Michigan, the devastating fire of 1871, and the amazing story of Holland's rise from the ashes, the birth of Tulip Time, the war years of courage and commitment, and the burgeoning economic growth that continues today.
Windmill Island Gardens
Windmill Island Gardens is home to de Zwaan windmill, the last mill allowed to be transported from the Netherlands. de Zwaan still functions by grinding locally-grown grain into flour that is sold to visitors and local businesses. A highlight of visiting is a tour of this historic working windmill. There are several other replica Dutch buildings and shops. The Island is home to beautiful gardens which feature tulips in the spring followed by beautiful annuals and perennials throughout the summer.
Coppercraft Distillery
Coppercraft Distillery creates a full line of handcrafted spirits distilled from Vendome copper stills. Based in Holland, the distillery and restaurant offers a full bar of handcrafted, premium cocktails & a seasonally changing menu of American gastro food with a few southern touches. This location also offers distillery tours (book online). Coppercraft also has a tasting room in downtown Saugatuck.

Wau-Ke-Na, W. E. Smith Preserve North Tract
A flat, packed-dirt trail takes visitors from the parking area through old-field habitat, past a new tree planting, into shady coastal woods. Turning to the right at the marked intersection in the woods, the trail continues a short distance to bluffs that offer scenic views of Lake Michigan. Turning to the left, the trail continues just a bit further to a steep path down to a small, natural beach.
Waypost Brewing Co.
Focusing on traditional farmhouse styles and craft lagers, the brewery is situated on a 58-acre tender fruit farm. The fields provide both the ingredients and the inspiration for their beers.
