After a lot of prayer and contemplation I (Jennifer) decided to sign up for Match in October 2021. About three weeks in, I was determined that this was not for me and planned to cancel my subscription at the end of the month. Well, God sure is funny because around that same time I got the LONGEST message from Jonathan. To this day, we laugh about it and I'm still not exactly sure why I responded to his message. A week later on October 30th, we went on our First Date...Brunch our favorite meal of day at Lokal Yokal in Milledgeville. We walked around downtown and talked forever. It was the perfect first day, so the rest is history!

Oh boy, where to begin with this one. It was Father's Day, June 19th and we had planned to go to church and then to visit Jonathan's family for a cookout. We arrive around 12:30 for "lunch". Fast Forward a few hours and no one has started cooking "lunch" yet. Finally, we begin to prep in the kitchen. Jonathan's sister, Karah, realizes she forgot buns so Jonathan runs to the store. While he is gone, Karah looks out the kitchen window and sees that their mom's house is on fire! Everyone runs outside to check it out. Karah being the wild woman she is runs into the house on fire to check it out. Meanwhile Jonathan's mom is crying and I'm just not sure what to do or think. The Fire Department shows up and they put out said fire...minor grease fire so they say! The Chief says the LT needs to talk to us about what happened before they leave. About this time a Firefighter in full gear comes from behind the truck and walks straight up to me. I have no clue who this guy is at first. Then he drops to a knee, takes off his helmet, and asks me to be his forever! You would think I would jump at the opportunity to say YES, but apparently I was too in shock and forgot. Jonathan had to remind me I didn't answer his question yet. I of course said, YES! * The fire was made with a smoke machine inside the house. They also built a fire behind the house for the fire smell effect. * Special thanks to all of Jonathan's family for being in on the BIG surprise and making it such a memorable day!
