Jeremiah and Jennifer met by way of e-Harmony in March 2019. Jeremiah, a widower of 3+ years, and Jennifer, never married, were skeptical of the process. During their courtship, Jeremiah quoted to Jennifer Proverbs 18:22 "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." Jennifer was still not certain she'd be the one to realize his prayer. Jennifer even broke up with him in early June but by mid-June they were making wedding plans! The change of heart happened during a family trip to Sedona for Father's Day. Jeremiah knew he had this one more chance to persuade Jennifer that she belonged in his family. The day started out like a typical Sunday at church, followed by a picnic lunch on the I-17 , hiking in Sedona, window-shopping, live music and a lovely dinner beside Oak Creek Canyon. At dinner Jennifer truly realized this was a special man and family. It would be a privilege and joy to be among them and their two miniature schnauzers. After dinner they celebrated in true Seman tradition with ice cream before the long drive home while singing to A-ha's "Take on me" (a fellow 80s music fan!) and holding hands. In the following weeks, this seemingly impulsive decision was confirmed by the realization that the friends' from whom Jeremiah had requested prayers were mutual friends of Jennifer's sister! More than anything however, their shared faith in Christ, values and political views have made two strangers the best of friends. It was clear that God had put them on a path to meet and share their lives together from this day forward.
