Our goal is to get invitations out the first week of June. These will only include information for the reception so if you need information for the ceremony--please reach out to us directly.
Then feel free to RSVP at any time on our wedding website! If you RSVP in advance, you do not need to send back the card that will be included with the formal invitation. But please let us know right away if anything changes so we can keep our counts accurate.
1. In the blank space provided, list full names of guests attending (including children) followed by "accept with pleasure," "will attend," or similar. If someone in your family that was invited is not attending, it is ok to leave them off. 2. If all individuals listed on the invitation are unable to attend, a general response such as "respectfully decline" or "will not be attending" can be used instead. 3. For anyone attending, please check the boxes next to the entrees you would like for dinner. If more than one individual is attending and you would like different entrees, please place initials behind each entree to indicate which person would like which entree. Should more than one guest have the same initials, feel free to use first names or add additional comments. 4. For anyone with dietary restrictions, please make a note on the card or consider reaching out to the bride separately. You can also RSVP online.
No problem! You can wait to receive your formal invite in the mail and send back the attached RSVP card. Or just text or email your information to us and we'll add you manually. Don't forget to include full names of all attendees, choice of entrees (steak or seafood for adults, chicken for children under 12). Any children 12 & older will need to choose an adult entree.
We would like to have all RSVPs back by August 1st (the sooner the better though!). At that point, if we have not heard from you, we will be reaching out to confirm.
Yes, the venue is a public museum and is appropriate for children of all ages. However, they must be properly supervised throughout the event. Please make sure your RSVP includes the full names of all children attending. Kids aged 4-11 will receive grilled chicken and kids 12 & older will receive an adult entree so please specify what they would like to receive. Also, leaving them home with a babysitter so you can enjoy a night out by yourselves is fine too!
Unfortunately, the Hilton City Center where we'll be staying does not offer hotel blocks. You can choose to stay at the same hotel as us due to its convenient location or book elsewhere if you find a different option that suites your needs better. Typically, hotels and Airbnbs farther out from the city are more affordable and more likely to offer free parking.
MacArthur Square 841 N James Lovell St Milwaukee, WI 53233 The entrance to the museum is on the ground floor. Please let us know if you need a parking voucher.
Yes! The Milwaukee Public Museum has elevators available for use. Most areas of the museum will be easy to access even with a walker or wheelchair.
We have access to (almost) the entire first floor of the museum. This includes the Streets of Old Milwaukee and European Village, A Sense of Wonder, Exploring Life on Earth, The Third Planet, Rainforest, and Bugs Alive! exhibits. Please note that because the event is during evening hours, the butterfly exhibit will be closed so that the butterflies can rest.
Of course! We're happy that you're excited to be part of our special day and want to share it with others. Currently there is no policy against flash photography at the museum. We just ask that you be mindful of our professional photographer to prevent interfering with his ability to take pictures throughout the event. Make sure you check out our photo booth and take advantage of the unlimited prints you can bring home to cherish forever.
Here! Our registry is conveniently built right into our wedding website. However, you should feel no obligation to buy directly off of any of the links provided. If you wish to purchase the item from a different source, there is an option on the registry to mark the item as fulfilled so other guests know it was already purchased. Should you chose to buy from Zola you will have the option to ship the gift to yourself or directly to the couple. The bride's mother has been kind enough to accept and house any gifts sent ahead of the wedding so we can open them afterward. It's a convenient way to save yourself from having to wrap or carry bulky items. If you do decide to bring a wrapped gift with, please make sure that there is a card or tag inside or securely attached so we know who to thank!
Unfortunately, Zola does charge a 2.5% fee on any cash gifts made through our registry to cover the associated credit card costs. There is an option to change some of the cash gifts so that they can be paid for through Venmo with no fee. If you had your eye on a particular adventure or activity you would like to contribute to and would like to use Venmo instead, please let the bride know so she can make the change on the website. Otherwise, we certainly don't mind if you would rather directly gift cash, check, or gift card and ear mark it for that experience.
Semi-formal. We'd like everyone to be comfortable but also take the opportunity to dress up a bit.
So we just completed our tasting with the new caterer and were very impressed. Guests will have a choice between filet mignon with carrots & mashed potatoes or miso black cod with Bok choy & forbidden black rice. The steak will be cooked to medium as many in our families prefer their beef a little more done. Guests younger than 12 will be served grilled chicken with macaroni & cheese and fruit cups. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know and the amazing chef will prepare something special for you!
This depends on your definition of "open." An assortment of craft beer and wines will be available at no charge for the duration of the event (6-11:45 pm) with a short staff break during dinner. Hard liquors will be available for purchase (expect $9-10/drink for call) and tips for the staff are always appreciated. Out of respect for the cultural treasures housed at our venue, please note that no shots will be available for purchase. For our guests that do not drink alcohol, a variety of nonalcoholic drinks will be available for free including fruit-infused water, iced tea, soda, and coffee.
At this time, we do not have anything specific planned for after the event, however, the Hilton City Center does have a bar area where guests could meet up if anyone was interested in doing so.
