This is a long story (so we'll cut it short so you're not here forever)! Elias and his friend, Andrew (a groomsmen) went out one night in Waikiki. Meanwhile, Jena and Katelyn (one of her bridesmaids that was visiting her) decided to go out for drinks and bar hopping. At the last bar of the night, Jena went to the bar to get another Jim Beam and Ginger Ale. When she "pushed" a guy out of the way and ordered her drink. The guy was taken back, not only that this girl pushed him, but also by the drink choice. You can guess who the guy was. And the rest is history!

9-14-19 The "day" started out with Elias asking Jena if she wanted to go hiking. Jena of course said yes! So Jena started to make some sandwiches and pack snacks for the two of them and Elias sneakily packed her an overnight bag. He had booked a night at the fabulous Turtle Bay Resort and was taking Jena for a surprise proposal weekend stay. When Jena was done making the food, the two got into the car and drove to the hike...but as soon as the two got to the hike, the car started to smoke and make a weird noise. So the two of them got back into the car and started to drive to an auto shop, when Elias's car fully broke down. Elias was so stressed and got out of the car to make a few calls (to the helicopter company for the proposal). As fate would have it the helicopter company was going to cancel on him because it had started to rain. So we called Jena's sister (Melissa) and brother-in-law (Brian) to come help them. The two drove over three hours (round trip in the pouring rain) to help! And finally, Jena and Elias got to Turtle Bay. (Thank you Melissa and Brian!) Elias told me it was for my birthday. He had booked a reservation for Roy's (a very nice restaurant) and they asked the occasion. I said my birthday! And Elias told me later that it was supposed to be a proposal celebration. 9-15-19 We finally made it to the hike! Then Elias said we needed to go back to the resort. (Which Jena thought was strange). He said he had a surprise. So the resort allowed us to shower and get ready there. Then we walked to the front desk and he told me we were going on a helicopter ride! Jena had never been on one before. During the ride he said there was one more surprise. Then we landed ontop of a mountain ridge line! We got out and Jena was having so much fun taking pictures, she didn't noticed when Elias got down on one knee and asked Jena to marry him!
