What is the currency in Montenegro?

Answer

Montenegro currency is the Euro and the current exchange rate of USD to EUR is 0.94. However, this changes frequently so make sure to stay up to date on this information. We highly recommend bringing as much cash with you as possible and exchanging in the states at your bank. A lot of places in Montenegro DO NOT accept AMEX so make sure to have a Visa or Mastercard with you.

While this is the off-peak season for Montenegro, the weather can still be very warm. The average daily temperature in September/early October ranges from 60 to 80 degrees and at nighttime drops to around 50 degrees.

Tips and what to bring?

-Make sure you have a European adapter. -Download WhatsApp or Viber for texting and calls. Viber is most commonly used here. -Setup an international travel plan with your cell phone provider. -Light coats or cover-ups for the evenings -Bathing suits just in case it's warm enough to take a dip in the sea :)

What is the cuisine like in Montenegro?

Montenegro serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine which includes a lot of fish, meat, and fresh cheese. Some of the popular dishes to try are Karadjordjeva Snicla, Cevapi, Prsut, Burek, Palačinke, Priganice and Pita. The average Montenegrin table at any farm stay is generally laden with meat, fresh cheese, homemade bread and salads made from fresh vegetables. Also present are richly flavored dishes such as stews, smoked fish, and Montenegrin food classics like kacamak.

No, they do not but there are taxi services available. We will also be providing a shuttle service for our guests traveling from the States.
