Brian and Jen met on a dating app. After exchanging a few messages we quickly decided to go on a date. Our first date we went to a venue where some random bands were playing. Of course Brian's twin brother decided to crash our date. Even after that we were having such a good time we went to a 70s bar and talked late into the night.
One of our favorite traditions is to go ice skating and watch Elf around Christmas time. So a few days before Christmas Brian took Jen ice skating and on a photo adventure. After ice skating we walked around taking more photos of each other with Brian's Rolleiflex film camera. Once Jen shot the last frame on the roll of film Brian asked her to change the film. While he was on one knee digging through Jen's purse "trying to find film" Jen opened the camera to see something shiny inside. Brian had hung the ring inside the camera so perfectly that all the photos we shot still turned out with just the outline of the ring around the edge. After Jen asking about 10 times what it was, Brian pulled out the ring and asked Jen to marry him. Of course Jen said yes (although Brian will say it took a long time to say yes). Brian then said that the ring was missing something and took Jen's Grandma Ethel's engagement ring which fit perfectly inside the ring Brian bought. It was perfect!!
The most important part of our wedding is being able to spend time with the people who are the most important in our lives. That is why we picked a centralized destination wedding. Everyone lives so far away from us, so we wanted to find a location for everyone to enjoy time together and have a nice relaxing vacation. We know Canada seems like a distant land, but it's closer than Italy. ;-) We can't wait to have you there!
