Our story dates back to June 1st, 2014 on the set of MTV's 'Are You The One?' The Matchmakers at MTV did not predict that we would be a match, however, that very first day in Puerto Rico, there was definitely a spark! As we endured the reality tv rollercoaster, we stayed in touch daily. In February of 2015, we realized that our connection was much deeper than a friendship and we made it official! Although long distance had its challenging moments, we only grew stronger. We visited one another as often as possible, alternating between MN and CA. In June of 2016, we took a road trip up the coast of California to Big Sur. We not only fell in love with the views but also the experience. It's difficult to adequately describe the stark beauty and grace of this stretch of coastline. Our connection to this place lies within the lack of cell service, and the printed maps that are required to experience it. The unobstructed clarity that comes with this section of highway along the pacific is what we are excited to share with our loved ones. In September of 2016, we packed up Jenni's Kia and made the 2,000 mile trip across the country. We found our first apartment on Craigslist and moved in together! Over the years, we have blended our lives together. We have made new friends, strengthened old ones, traveled and created unforgettable memories with one another and our families. Fast forward to October, 2020. After months of lockdowns, we were eager to take our yearly trip, just the two of us. We booked a long road trip to see the Oregon coast. We were on the edge of Cape Kiwanda, when a self-timer photo turned into a surprise video of Curtis getting down on one knee. We soaked up the engagement bliss for the rest of the trip. The views of the coast mixed with overwhelming excitement, made it a trip of a lifetime. After a year and a half of endearingly calling each other Fiancé, we are ready to get hitched this April!
We have chosen to keep our guest list small and intimate. Our guest list is limited to immediate family to keep the focus on our love, and the joining of our families. Of course, we also had to consider the unpredictable ebb and flow of the current pandemic. With family members of all ages, it is important to keep everyone safe. We appreciate your understanding, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you the next time we are together!
