We’re tying the knot!

Travis and Jenna started messaging through social media; isn’t that how modern day love stories begin? They decided to meet at a Mexican restaurant in October 2017. Honestly, off to a rocky start- they were both not sure what they were looking for, but definitely felt a connection. Travis and Jenna lost touch for a little while, but Jenna ended up getting really sick in May 2018. Travis came from his apartment in Daleville to her apartment in Radford to take care of her. She had her tonsils taken out two days later. Jenna and Travis have been in love ever since!

Jenna had just graduated from Radford University on May 11th. Travis bought the ring within that next week and asked Jenna’s parents the weekend following the graduation. Travis wanted to wait to propose at the beach, but that was another 2 months. So, Jenna and Travis made reservations to go to dinner at the Peaks of Otter on May 26th. The Peaks are close to where Travis grew up (Bedford), and he has hiked the Peak and wanted to show Jenna around! Jenna was so excited- she had never been to the Peaks before! The day was normal, no hint it was going to be as special as it was! They got dressed up for dinner and told Jenna’s parents bye. When they got up there, Jenna and Travis walked ALL AROUND. Jenna complained because of the shoes she was wearing, of course. They got to an outlook over the pond and Travis started talking about how they have weddings here. He then pulled out a ring and said “Well, I have this” “Will you marry me?” Jenna started JUMPING all around!! She was so excited and caught off guard- completely elated! Jenna’s parents, sister, and sister’s boyfriend came to take pictures and have dinner to celebrate. After dinner, Jenna and Travis went to Travis’s parents to celebrate! It’s been a dream come true!
