We had crossed paths in high school, but it wasn't until March of 2019 that we really met. We were both going out with a group of friends for a mutual friend's birthday down at the jersey shore (special shout out to the future Mr. and Mrs. McCarty for being the friends that brought us together!) With a few drinks and some dancing, we hit it off, Taylor asked his friend for my number the next day, asked me out on a date, and the rest is history!

It was a beautiful, end of summer day and we had gone to one of our favorite restaurants Beach Tavern for some drinks. Afterwards, we were walking along the docks down to what I thought was our next stop when Taylor took a big step forward and dropped to one knee with the most beautiful ring. The surprise wasn't over yet- we headed back to my house to find both of our families and closest friends ready to celebrate!
