Jenna and Jordan's paths crossed just how you would expect a forever relationship to begin. Being the pragmatist in the relationship, Jordan interviewed many candidates, reviewed resumes, asked questions about Jenna's past, deliberated with his colleagues, thought long and hard about it, and finally made his decision. This was all for a personal training job at their gym back in 2018. Naturally, Jordan, trying to set a good example for the rest of the gym, remained professional and stuck to the rules… agreeing not to fraternize with the new recruits. At least not for the first week or so… While Jordan would say he made the first move by hiring Jenna, Jenna would likely protest (rightfully so). That summer was the Men's World Cup and with both of them being soccer fanatics, Jenna invited Jordan over to watch one of the games. She prepared a gourmet meal of leftover salmon and microwavable vegetables. Luckily, trainers that have been up since 4am will eat just about anything. This is where their love story truly began. They were able to keep their relationship a secret for a few months, but it was only a matter of time until word got out. While Jordan got an earful at work about potentially ruining things with their best recruit, he thought to himself “well as long as I marry her it won’t ruin anything”. So here he is following through to stick it to some old colleagues. After things were official and work realized they weren’t just messing around, working together was more fun than either of them could have imagined. Jordan fell in love with Jenna for all the reasons she was also an amazing hire. She was hard working, compassionate, personable, empathetic, a pleasure to be around and always put a smile on your face. The first few years Jenna lived at home, which meant plenty of family dinners with her parents so they could feel this new guy out (aka see how much food they could feed him). J+J spent those years playing soccer together, working out, traveling, going to comedy shows, enjoying movie and date nights, and being in bed by 9 most nights. They finally decided to move in together in December 2019 just before the global pandemic. Naturally the next step in solidifying the relationship was getting a fur baby to really seal the deal. Jenna and Jordan welcomed Callie (aka P, Pixie-pie, Little lady, Sweetest lady, Little baby P and a million other names) to their family. Being locked down during the pandemic meant spending more time together than any two people in history, but it was also a good test of their relationship. They learned new things about one another and discussed future plans and goals as a couple. Although both native New-Jerseyites, the now remote-working couple decided to take the opportunity to (kindly) get out of the damn cold! After living in Arizona for a little bit of time, they decided it was time for a change and after much deeeeeeep deliberation *cue spinning globe*, they decided on Austin TX. Both Jenna and Jordan really flourished with their fresh start in TX. Jenna graduated from EMT school and got a new job. The couple also made some great friends and built a new life in >40 degree weather. Maybe it was too much TX sun, but Jordan got the crazy idea that it was time to take the 417 pictures of rings that Jenna had *accidentally* sent him, and put them to use. Waking Jenna up earlier than she would have liked, Jordan (with Callie’s help) planned a scavenger hunt in their apartment going through the inside jokes and memories from their first year living in TX. The last clue took Jenna to the balcony where Jordan waited down on one knee. Jordan knew this moment needed to be shared with family. Jordan had their parents fly in from NJ to celebrate their engagement with them (a memory they will both cherish). This is just the beginning of our story together. We cannot wait to celebrate and share our special wedding day with you all!
