She is also a part of their love story and told Brandon "you better not mess this up" as soon as he started pursuing Jenna. Emily and Brandon have been best friends for over 10 years and she brings so much joy into both of their lives through her thoughtful and truly wonderful personality. She is a literal ray of sunshine.
