Early in March 2021, Mike & I double connected on a Christian dating site and on the Bumble dating app. We have talked every single day since we first matched! Both of us being a twin was a fact that started off our great connection & highlighted our family values. Our first date was the following Monday at an axe throwing place. After I won the competition, we went to a Thai place for dinner. We talked so much that we barely touched our food, so the waitress checked in a couple times wondering if everything was ok. It was the most perfect first date, ever. Mike lived in Staunton & I lived in Springfield. We connected well over faith, family, movies, working out, walks, travel, good food and Florida! When we went back to Florida for our second time in May 2022, Mike surprised me & proposed to me on Lido Beach in Sarasota, Florida. His twin Becca had helped him picked out the most perfect & beautiful wedding ring. Mike had talked to my brother Sean a couple months prior to ask for his blessing to marry his sister since their dad John Broughton had passed in November 2016. There isn’t any doubt that our dad John would have proudly given his blessing to Mike though. In March of 2022, we bought an amazing house in Pocahontas, IL in Highland school district & moved in together on April 29, 2022. We are starting our lives together in the Highland IL area & absolutely love it!! We truly believe that God blessed the broken roads that led us to meet & that we are each other’s soul mates!!
