Question

I am trying to update this page as much as possible regarding Covid tests. Please read through all questions for the most updated information. I've also given additional info about the Welcome dinner and shuttles. PLEASE READ😁

The welcome dinner has moved to 5pm at the same location which is The Roof Pizzeria. Happy hour starts at 4pm so start early!

Is there transportation provided to and from the wedding and the hotels? What about getting to and from the airport? What about traveling around Tamarindo.

Answer

No, transportation is not provided to the wedding venue but all recommended hotels are within a 7 minute drive. Contact Paul at 1-508-850-5187 or his Costa Rica number +506 8452 6880. You can also email him at booking@bluecrabtours.com He's giving us great rates. The cost for airport shuttles is $20 per person with an $80 minimum each way. If you want to travel within Tamarindo, the rates are between $3-$5 each way depending on the pickup and drop off location. He accepts both VenMo and PayPal but you will be charged an additional 3-5% fee. Cash is also accepted. (Please note that I've arranged many of the shuttles for several of you to and from the airport so you don't need to contact him regarding that.)

Are kids invited?

Answer

Feel free to bring your little ones and make our destination wedding a family vacation! We could all use a little R&R after 2020. However, please note that babysitting services will not be provided.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "And Guest", then YES. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What's the dresscode?

Answer

Semi-formal beach wedding attire. Shorts and flip flops are welcome. No formal attire is needed! We encourage sunglasses. Contact Jen if you have questions.

Do I need a Covid test before I travel to Costa Rica? What if I am vaccinated?

Answer

No. A negative test is not required before traveling from the United States to Costa Rica. However, have your vaccination card with you while you travel. Also, your airline may require you to fill out a Health Pass to board. please check with your airline.

Do I need travel medical insurance?

Answer

If you are not vaccinated for Covid then you are required to have medical insurance. Here's the easiest site to purchase from and it is also an authorized agency https://tiendasagicor.com/en/ Please text Jen for more details.

Do I need to bring my vaccination card?

Answer

Yes! Or an app or picture of it. Right now they accept that as proof.

Do I need to be Covid tested before I leave Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes! Both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals are required to have a negative test 24 hours before your departure flight for the United States. Here are 2 locations in Tamarindo where you can get tested. Please make an appointment. Medical Center, Tamarindo +506 2653 1974 $120 48 hour results Hospital Metropolitano (15 minutes from Tamarindo) +506 4000 3822 $115 24-48 hour results Another option is at the airport where they provide 1 hour testing. You HAVE TO schedule an appointment and I encourage everyone to do so early. This appointment must be 4 hours before your flight. Do I have to wear a mask in Costa Rica?

Answer

Every location is different but at the moment Costa Rica DOES require masks indoors. For the wedding, masks will be required in public areas such as the bathroom but are not required for the dining area or the ceremony (since we will have our own space). We ask that everyone respect these requirements and wear their masks as requested despite personal views. We also support those who decide to wear masks whenever they want (ceremony, cocktail hour, etc). If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact Jen.
