How did you know we were dreaming of those crystal champagne flutes?! They’re by far the most beautiful glasses in our home and we’ve never felt fancier. You’ll have to come over soon so we can toast to you! So excited to see you in June.

Sometimes, it really is best to listen to your parents. When our dads first approached us individually about meeting a doctoral candidate in a completely different field for a blind date, we likely both rolled our eyes and acted like teenagers. What would they know? They're our dads! But fine...whatever...sure, we'll do it. Just get off our backs! 

Turns out, of course, they were right. A first date of sushi, intense discussion of Harry Potter (both Hufflepuffs!), and amazement from Greg that Jen could move through the world in 2017 without a Smartphone sparked a beautiful relationship. One filled with laughter, joy, adventure, care, compassion, and most of all, love. 

We have supported each other through defending dissertations, health challenges, changing jobs, and moving new places. We have celebrated milestones, pushed each other out of comfort zones, and made life more special for each other each and every day. Thank you for sharing this special day with us!
