For our guests who will fly in there are two airports less than 40 minutes away from San Juan Capistrano. The closer option (25-30 minutes away) would be John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, CA. The second option (about 40 minutes away) would be a smaller airport- Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, CA. There is of course LAX and San Diego Airport, but these would be closer to 1-1.5 hours from the venue. In general, ubers and lyfts are widely available in this area and there's a lot of restaurants / bars in the downtown San Juan area to explore during your stay.
There are only 2 hotel options in Downtown San Juan- one being on the more expensive side (Inn at the Mission SJC) and the Best Western Capistrano Inn. There is also the Residence Inn Dana Point San Juan Capistrano. Not directly located in San Juan, but close by. You are more than welcome to look at neighboring hotel options or airbnbs in San Clemente, Dana Point or anywhere you'd like to explore nearby!

This is an upscale hotel and the only one located right in the center of San Juan! This hotel is pricey but walking distance to most places in San Juan. There is no block here and no need to stay if you want to stay within your budget. It is a 5 minute drive to the parking area for the shuttle pickup.

This is a much more affordable option in San Juan Capistrano but has mixed reviews. About a 15 minute walk to the center of downtown San Juan and a 5 minute drive / uber. It is also a 3 minute drive / 10 minute walk to the parking area for shuttle pickup.
