How It All Began

First comes kids, then comes marriage.

Jeff and I first met at our house on Maitland street. It was fifteen years ago when Jeff needed someone to rent his crappy basement apartment and I was in need of a cheap place to live. Flash forward and here we are living in that house with our dog and three kids.

How he finally proposed

The Proposal

Christmas 2016 we planned a two week trip to Thailand, just the two of us. Jeff had sneakily bought the ring and planned to propose on our amazing adventure. Before leaving, Jeff realized there was a huge risk of losing the not yet insured ring and decided to pop the question before we left. Christmas Day rolled around and we were leaving for our trip the following day. We had agreed not to get each other anything other than a small gift to have something to open. I open my gift and, it was rubber car mats for my car. How practical, right? Well once he got to see the look of disapproval on my face, that is when he pulled out the ring box and the disappointment was gone. Maddison was the only one around and she was more than happy to be with us to witness it.

The Kids

First the kids, then let's get married!

Maddison is our mature, funny and loving girl that has lived up to her big sister role in an outstanding way. She loves spending time with her family and playing games or even just watching a movie. She excels at every sport she tries but loves swimming and gymnastics the most. Maddison has a love for school that most kids her age don't and we hope that stays with her all the way through University (which is just so far away so let's not even think about that). Evelyn is our spunky, full of life and laughter girl. She is so smart and picks up on new ideas so quickly. She loves to build and create and most of all, snuggle! That girl can pull us out of anything we are trying to do with one question, "will you come snuggle me?". She will never be the forgotten middle child as they say because she is always the loudest and making sure you know she is there. Theodore, oh Theodore, where do we start with you! This boy has already given us a run for our money and we can guarantee he will continue to do so. He is wild and has no fear. He will do the craziest thing and you brace yourself for the pain he must have just felt, and he gets up shakes it off and keeps on going. Theo is also so quick to pick up on things and obviously watches his big sisters to learn all of the things he should, and maybe shouldn't be doing. We are sure in no time he will be running the show around our house.
